The royals have hacks upon hacks for how to prevent major wardrobe malfunctions (sewing weights in all my skirt hems forever), but Kate Middleton had a major wardrobe mishap during her Christmas appearance this year and fully regrets her outfit choice.

According to Metro, Kate revealed that she wished she hadn’t worn her gray Catherine Walker coat for the royals’ annual Christmas walk at the queen’s Sandringham estate because it caused her to overheat like crazy. Been there, done that, do not ever want to go back.

Nineteen-year-old Rachel Anvil’s mother, Karen, told the outlet, “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot. She said, ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this.’” Ah, the classic winter coat conundrum—feels good when you first put it on...then the sun comes out and you realize you’re too layered and toasty for your own good.

Karen also shared that meanwhile, she was talking to Princess Charlotte, who walked alongside her big brother, Prince George, for their Sandringham debut this year. Karen added, “I’m there talking to Charlotte about dolls, and my daughter’s talking about fashion with Kate. It wasn’t fake; it was a genuine discussion. It was about a minute, but it was tailored to my daughter. It was like speaking to a friend. They are totally different with the public [than the press].”

Aside from Kate’s coat issue, Christmas at Sandringham went off without a hitch even amid reports that the family is going through a feud right now and the Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Reports came out this weekend that Zac Efron nearly died while shooting his new series Killing Zac Efron in Papua New Guinea after he contracted a typhoid-like bacterial infection. The actor was flown to an Australian hospital, where he was treated, according to the Australian Associated Press; he went home to the U.S. on Christmas Eve.

Now, Efron is speaking out to make it clear to everyone that yes, he did get sick; yes, he did get treatment; but rest assured, he is doing okay. "Very thankful to everyone who has reached out," he started his post. "I did get sick in Papua New Guinea but I bounced back quick and finished an amazing 3 weeks in P.N.G. I’m home for the holidays with my friends and family. Thanks for all the love and concern, see you in 2020!"

Killing Zac Efron, an upcoming Quibi series, was announced in November. According to Deadline, the series had Efron venturing "'deep into the jungles of a remote, dangerous island to carve his own name in expedition history.' In true Man vs. Wild fashion, Efron is ready to go all-in and rid himself of all luxuries, falling off the grid for 21 days with nothing but basic gear, a guide partner and a will to survive."

In a statement when the series was announced, Efron expressed his excitement for the project...one that would ultimately put him in the hospital temporarily. “I tend to thrive under extreme circumstances and seek out opportunities that challenge me on every level,” he said. “I am excited to explore any uncharted territory and discover what unexpected adventure awaits!”
